Grey Bruce Public Health is seeking the public’s help in identifying the owner of a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred on Friday, April 10, 2026, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
Around 7 p.m., a dog, described as a black-and-white border collie, bit a girl at Memorial Park on Sydenham Street in Flesherton, which is next to the Grey Highlands Museum.
The dog had a collar on, but no one was with the dog at the time of incident.
Staff at Grey Bruce Public Health need to confirm the dog involved in this biting incident is not infectious with rabies.
By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
