Infectious Diseases are illnesses caused by germs, like bacteria, viruses, parasites and fungi, which can be spread from person to person, or to people from the environment.
Certain diseases are reportable to public health.
If you are infected with a Disease of Public Health Significance, a Public Health Inspector or Public Health Nurse may contact you to complete an investigation.
