Grey Bruce Public Health is seeking the public’s assistance in finding the owner of a medium-sized dog that was involved in a biting incident on Aug. 17, 2023, on Chesley’s main street.
A man was bitten while trying to separate the unleashed dog from his friend’s dog as the two dogs were fighting. The dog that bit the man was possibly a blue heeler/shepherd mix.
Grey Bruce Public Health staff needs to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies. By verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid receiving the post-exposure rabies treatment.
